What meals are included in tuition?

Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch and PM Snack

What are the class ratios?

  • Infants/Toddlers are cared for at 1 teacher/assistant to every 4 students or less.
  • Two years olds are cared for at 1 teacher /assistant to every 8 students or less.
  • Three-Five year olds are cared for 1 teacher/assistant to every 10 students or less.
  • School age children are cared for 1 teacher/assistant to every 18 students or less.

When is tuition due?

Friday of the week before service or Monday the week of service.

What are the late fees for paying tuition for paying past the due date?

$15.

Do you transport to elementary schools?

Yes. They vary every year. We really try and accommodate those that need before/after care therefore you would have to call and find out if we transport to your child’s school, or if we can add that particular school to one of our pick up routes.

What does my child need on his/her first day?

What paperwork must I complete prior to the first day of school?

Complete a registration packet, bring in a proof of birth/birth certificate within 7 days, and a completed school physical form with 30 days.

On what days are the centers closed?

We are closed about 10 times a year:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
  • President’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • The Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

We also close early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

What if we need to leave on vacation?

Tuition is still remitted in full every week of the year. Each family is allotted 1 week of vacation without paying tuition. We ask that families give management a two week advance notice to apply the vacation. Otherwise, student’s pay tuition every week regardless of attendance. Unconventional schedules and special arrangements can be exceptional and may be made personally with the director.

Can we bring in the physical and shot record I have been keeping at home?

No. The physical and shot record must be recorded and signed by the doctor on the form provided. No out of state forms, or alternate forms can be accepted.

What is the school’s inclement weather policy?

We use the Federal Government guidelines for closing the schools as a guideline and assess from our own standpoint..The status of the Federal Government can be viewed at www.opm.gov, however, the center’s official status will be determined by 10 p.m. the night before, in most cases, and will be displayed on our website. We will also leave a voicemail message that reflects any change in the center’s status. You can check for closings on Dawning Point’s facebook page, or contact your child’s teacher/director.
